Rep. John Conyers Jr., D-Mich., introduced a bill in Congress that would expand Medicare to cover all Americans. Hallelujah! A Senator finally standing up to Wall Street; Sen. McCaskill ‘gets it’!
WASHINGTON (CNN) — One day after President Barack Obama ripped Wall Street executives for their “shameful” decision to hand out $18 billion in bonuses in 2008, Congress may finally have had enough.
An angry U.S. senator introduced legislation Friday to cap compensation for employees [...]

Joshua Holland writes another thought-provoking article in support of nationalizing our banks. From my perspective, without nationalization Americans will never know how the banks are spending tax payer money and Americans could be bailing out these same banks year after year. The worse the economy gets, the worse the banks’ balance sheets will be. The result [...]

The Center for Economic and Policy Research estimates that about $100 billion in government spending produces more job growth, about a million jobs to be exact. However corporate tax cuts [...]

No American likes higher income taxes, so much so, we allow politicians, especially Republicans, to influence our thinking about paying taxes into the U.S. Treasury. They have been extremely adept in selling the American public on economic policies that are not in America’s best interest. These ‘leaders’ tell us year after year, during every campaign, [...]

I usually do not pay much attention to ring-wingers like Ann Coulter or Bill O’Reilly or Shaun Hannity. However, Rush Limbaugh, that cigar smoking, drug addicted, over paid white supremacists kind of a dude recently and I might say, inadvertently, gave Americans a look at plans of the Republican Party by presenting a glimpse into [...]

President Barack Obama made history on January 20, 2009 as America’s first African American President. He won with more electoral votes in American history and he received more votes than George W Bush did in both of his Presidential elections. Unfortunately, the fringes of America, the ‘white supremacists’ have been energized by hate which is [...]

Mickey Edwards, who started the right-wing Heritage Foundation, published an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times:
The Republican Party that is in such disrepute today is not the party of Reagan. It is the party of Rush Limbaugh, of Ann Coulter, of Newt Gingrich, of George W. Bush, of Karl Rove. It is not a conservative [...]
