The 2008  Republican Party Platform supported health care competiton but the GOP’s hollow words were only designed to trick, deceive and manipulate Americans into voting Republican.  This deception can be clearly witnessed by every U.S. Citizen witnessing the hundreds of millions of dollars being spent by Republican lobbyists fighting a comptetitive government health care option known as Single Payer.From the 2008 Republican Party Platform “we commit to revive Medicare by rewarding quality care, promoting competition, eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse, and giving patients and providers control over treatment options.” 

 

“…patients must have more control of their care and choice regarding their doctors, and the benefits of competition must be delivered to the patients themselves”

 

Ironically Americans overwhelmingly want health care reform, they want competition in order to drive down out-of-control health care costs which are the highest in the entire world.  Americans are not stupid and have become wise not to trust the crooked CEOs who run for-profit insurance companies.  These CEOs deny coverage to millions, deny medical treatment and make life threatening decisions for Americans above medical doctors and nurses in this country. 

 

Every poll clearly shows Americans want health care competition and choices, by huge margins, currently 76%!

 

The 2008 Republican Party Platform was a sham which has now been disclosed as Republicans in Congress are catering to heath care and health insurance lobbyists in order to kill competition, kill a single payer government option, which if successful, willl no doubt continue to kill hardworking, taxpaying Americans who are denied health coverage and medical treatment based on the decisions by Republicans and the millionaire health insurance CEOs.

 

The mantra of the Republican Party is to lie as demonstrated in their 2008 Republican Party Platform; cheat Americans from obtaining competitive health insurance and kill American citizens by denying quality affordable health care. 

 

For believers, in John 10:10, you find “the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy”.  The recent immoral adulterous acts by Republicans David Vitter, John Ensign and Gov Mark Sanford are not the only traits of immorality which can be claimed by the “Party of No”.  The act of allowing health insurance companies to deny Americans the right to cost affordable health care for every American family is also immoral.

 

One thing is for sure, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Mitch McConnell, John Ensign, David Vitter, John Cornyn, Kay Hutchison, Roy Blunt, Mark Kirk, Lynn Jenkins, John McCain, Orrin Hatch, Lamar Alexander, Mike Enzi, and many other Republicans who are taking hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign donations from the health care and insurance industries, are fighting tooth-and-nail against giving the Americans who elected them, a competitive health care alternative.  

 

It is my hope Americans will remember the next time these Republicans ask for your vote, that they will be kicked to the curb and stripped of the power which they abused and used against Americans to further their own selfish gain and greed.
