Dear Teabaggers Where Were You?
Everywhere I turn these days, teabaggers are screaming, shouting, ranting and disrupting America’s democracy. You believe it is your right, in a democratic society to do so. Granted all Americans have the right to free speech and to protest those issues which they disagree. Therefore I must ask some very simple questions:
Where were your protests when George W Bush, after 9/11, changed the Afghanistan military focus from those who murdered Americans in the World Trade Center to Iraq, when there were no al-Qaeda and no weapons of mass destruction?
Where were your protests when George W Bush signed the Patriot Act violating the 4th Amendment and implementing mass surveillance to vacuum up information about all innocent Americans through his dragnet of collecting data on our telephone calls, emails, web activity and financial records?Where were your protests when George W Bush and Republicans enacted the FISA Amendments Act legalizing a warrantless spying program to spy on Americans and U.S. Soldiers’ international communications?
Where were your signs and protests when George W Bush and Republicans obliterated the U.S. Constitution?
Where were your protests when George W Bush, squandered the 10 year budget surplus of $5.6 trillion neatly left for him by President Bill Clinton and turned it into a whopping record-setting $1.2 trillion budget deficit?
Where were you shouts of socialism when George W Bush proceeded with the largest expansion of federal spending since President Lyndon Johnson? (Study: Bush Has Outspent Any U.S. President since LBJ)
Where was your outrage when Republicans engaged in raiding the taxpayers’ treasury with record setting pork barrel spending and when socialist George W Bush and Republicans passed a $700 billion bailout for Wall Street, hoarding our money for million dollar bonuses and no record of how the money was spent?
Where were your Nazi signs when George W Bush significantly grew the federal government by adding the bureaucracies of the “Department Of Homeland Security” and the “Transportation Safety Administration” adding thousands of jobs while both departments duplicated already existing government agencies?
Where was your fear mongering when George W Bush and Republicans enacted a well-meaning Medicare Medicare Prescription Act and chose to pass the billions of dollars in cost to the U.S. deficit?
Where are your protests when George W Bush Has Left our Economy in Shambles?
Where was your outrage and protests when Republicans continued to ship hundreds of thousands of U.S. Jobs overseas and given huge tax cuts by George W Bush?
You teabaggers would have all Americans believe your protests are ‘grass roots’ efforts, but we know most of them are not. Sponsors of teabagger events attempt to disguise themselves, hide and remain in the darkness of political discourse. Americans for Prosperity, Americans for Tax Reform, Young Conservatives Coalition, The Heartland Institute, National Taxpayers Union, FreedomWorks and The Institute for Liberty and other Washington lobbyists groups sponsor these events as they tell each of you what to believe, what to say, provide teabaggers with ‘talking point’ and overall control your actions, activities and your minds with their own political agendas.
Your outcries of ‘President Obama is a socialist’ but you provided no outcry when President Bush was obliterating the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Treasury.
I offer you a great, simple suggestion, a solution to allow teabaggers not to participate in socialism in America:
- Drop your socialistic Social Security Benefits and give back the tainted money you’ve taken.
- Drop you socialistic Medicare coverage and go buy health insurance from the very responsible health insurance companies who will provide teabaggers with great coverage and inexpensive rates.
- Please to not use the socialistic agencies of fire departments, police departments and remove your children from the socialistic public school system.
These steps will make you a true American and bring teabaggers back to the Constitution you claim you have lost and will prevent all teabaggers from participating in socialism.
These steps will also avoid the civil war teabaggers’ are calling for and you will not have to worry about anyone removing your guns from your ‘cold dead hands’. There will be no need for teabaggers to carry guns to town hall meetings or Democratic or Republican events.
Looking behind the mask of teabaggers is a partisan lynch mob and everyone can see the racism and hatred for a democratically and constitutionally elected President.

Both of the major parties are spending us into bankruptcy. The economic bubble that produced the deceptive surplus and our complacency at the time gave them the courage to expand federal government to unprecedented super-constitutional heights. We share in the blame. We waited until a crisis to realize the folly of ignoring the Constitution and are now paying the price. The “tea parties” are likely too little, too late.
