Say THANK YOU to Our Soldiers

Please take a moment to thank our brave soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com, pick out a free thank you card and Xerox will print it and will send the card to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Also, see some responses from our soldiers below. How AMAZING it would be if everyone we know could send a Thank You!  It is FREE.

As a father with a son headed to the Middle East, it would be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these Thank You cards during the holidays. Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers need to know Americans are behind them.  It only takes just a minute and it is a wonderful way to say thank you.

I encourage you to please take the time to send a card and pass this site on for others to do so.

We can never say Thank You enough.  Thank You for taking to time to support our military.

A few soldier responses:

Thank you so much for the post card. It is so nice to receive things in the mail here. Some would not believe it but the simple good feeling of going to the company mail room and the clerk saying “Yes, you have mail” is an uplifting experience.  Even if it’s just a letter saying “hi” makes our day! Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to all of you! We have been working around the clock and the tremendous support we receive from you and your partners has had a measurable impact on our morale.

A Marine Corporal

I can’t explain how amazing the Give2TheTroops package and Let’s Say Thanks postcards were. My small squad was very pleased with it! We don’t get much time to eat and when we do, is not very healthy so the snacks and good food are amazing – we love it! I made sure each of the Marines got a card from the children and would love to tell all of the folks who sent the post cards thank you!

A Marine Lieutenant Colonel

I just wanted to take the time to express a heartfelt “thank you” for the postcard that I happened upon today. This particular card was the artwork of a young lady named Bethany, from Bethel Springs, TN. This was a pleasant surprise since I grew up in Savannah, TN, not more than 20 miles from Bethel Springs. I couldn’t have asked for a better “uplifting” on this particular day…..this is proof that the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines are still in the hearts of many back home. I felt that maybe the folks that are responsible for these great acts of kindness would like to know that what they are doing, no matter how big or small, makes a big difference to those of us here…..especially those of us that are on their second, or third deployment in five years. I applaud the efforts of your organization and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A Fire Support Coordinator

I wanted to take a brief moment to personally thank all of you for your time, considerations, and graciousness. Iraq as you can imagine is a tough place to be, away from family, friends, and the simple things in life that we even in the army take for granted, for example running water or electricity. This place takes on a unique toughness that every Soldier here has to endure. The post cards that you have sent to all of us through Give2TheTroops make one of the many moments that we spend here in Iraq better. It reminds us all of the reason we are here – we see that in the gesture you have given us. We hope you all have a wonderful year and please, please enjoy and respect the freedoms that we all cherish and never take them for granted. We all thank you for your thoughts and prayers, they all mean so very much to us.

A Platoon Sergeant

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the many boxes Give2TheTroops has sent to this battalion.  All of you have truly made a positive difference in our morale and spiritual well-being. This reinforces and definitely reminds us why America is so great.
