Hispanics, Blacks, Women, the GOP Does Not Want You
Now is a great time to take account of which Political Party has your best interest, your family’s best interest and the best interest of all Americans at heart, and it is sure is not the Republican Party.
With the Supreme Court Justice nomination by President Barack Obama of Judge Sonia Sotomayor, the leaders of the Republican Party have already begun the name calling of this highly qualified Hispanic American. As many have already read; Sonia Sotomayor was nominated by President George H.W. Bush for the District Court in 1992 and President Bill Clinton nominated her for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in 1998. Born to a Puerto Rican family she grew up in a public housing project in the South Bronx and excelled in school winning a scholarship to Princeton University, graduated summa cum laude, and then attended Yale Law School where she served as an editor of the prestigious Yale Law Journal.
She served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, tackling some of the hardest cases facing the city, including robberies, assaults, murders, police brutality, and child pornography. Her growing reputation for fearlessness and legal brilliance prompted her first nomination to the federal bench, and she’s only continued to soar.
Sotomayor has more federal judicial experience than any Justice of the Supreme Court in a century, more overall judicial experience than any Justice in 70 years.
In her years on the bench, Judge Sotomayor has earned acclaim from legal scholars and experts from both sides of the aisle for her intellectual toughness, her probing oral questioning, and her ability to issue decisions that hold both factual details and legal doctrines in equal measure. And she’s never failed to apply a steady, common-sense analysis of how the law touches our daily lives.
The Republican Party Name Calling:
Republican Party de facto leader Rush Limbaugh said of Sotomayor “She is a hack”. Drug addicted Republican Rush is no friend to Hispanics, Latinos, Black Americans or women, neither is the Republican Party:
- Rush also told a caller “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.” “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”
- “Mexicans are stupid and unqualified” and “Shut your mouth or get out,”
- I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.
- You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.
- Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?
- The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.
- Barack Obama is the Magic Negro
- Limbaugh said Los Angeles Hispanic Mayor reminded him of a shoe shine boy
- “Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society” and also “We’re not sexists, we’re chauvinists – we’re male chauvinist pigs, and we’re happy to be because we think that’s what men were destined to be. We think that’s what women want.”
Would be Republican Party Leader, Newt Gingrich, called Supreme Court nominee Judge Sonia Sotomayor a “racist“. Gingrich also stated “”Imagine a judicial nominee said ‘my experience as a white man makes me better than a Latina woman.’ new racism is no better than old racism.” Does he then mean all Hispanics are racists? [Remember Newt was having an affair when he was trying to impeach Bill Clinton, and Newt divorced his wife while she was being treated for cancer and faced 84 ethics violations which he was fined $300,000 for illegally using tax-exempt funds for his person use.]
Karl Rove, George W Bush’s bully said “Sonia Sotomayor is not smart enough to be a justice on the Supreme Court and that she’s sort of a schoolmarm”. [This from a man who dodged the military draft 5 times refusing to serve his country during the Vietnam War.]
Mike Huckabee said “The appointment of Maria [not her name] Sotomayor for the Supreme Court is akin to the “Extreme Court”.
Republican colleagues Sen. James Inhofe and Rep. Lamar Smith is calling Sotomayor a racist for claiming that judicial diversity is important when determining “race and sex discrimination cases.”
By attacking blacks, Hispanics, Mexicans, Latinos, feminists and liberals these Republicans are pissing off more than half of the country; not only blacks, Mexican Americans and Hispanics but every white person who has an African American or Latino relative, loved one, hero or friend, and as was pointed out “Asians, Native Americans, Gays and Martians! “
Republicans, to say the least, do not seem particularly inclined to court Hispanic voters by playing nice on Sonia Sotomayor; as Rush Limbaugh said “the Republican Party should write off the Hispanic vote”. Sounds logical to me, what Hispanic would ever vote Republican again after all the name calling by the GOP.
The worst name calling of all came from Republican Tom Tancredo declared Judge Sotomayor to be a “racist” who should be “disqualified” from serving on the Supreme Court. Tancredo said:
If you belong to an organization called La Raza, in this case, which is, from my point of view anyway, nothing more than a Latino – it’s a counterpart – a Latino KKK without the hoods or the nooses. If you belong to something like that in a way that’s going to convince me and a lot of other people that it’s got nothing to do with race. Even though the logo of La Raza is “All for the race. Nothing for the rest.” What does that tell you?
Tancredo suggested during his 2008 failed Presidential campaign that “illegal immigrants are likely to be terrorists” and he has been behind efforts to deport all illegal immigrants from the U.S. and outlaw immigration to this country.
The truth is La Raza is the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States “and works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans.” This American organization’s whose motto is “Strengthening America by promoting the advancement of Latino families.” There is nothing racist about this group.
So here is my name calling – from my perspective anyone who belongs to the GOP is nothing more than a Republican KKK without hoods and nooses!
If Pres Obama nominated Jesus Christ to the Supreme Court, it would still not satisfy Limbaugh or the Republican ‘Party of No’ as I’m sure they would make a negative issue of Christ being a Jew, or showing empathy to the downtrodden in America.
Consider more of the Republican Rush Limbaugh de facto Leader said: “The objective is more food stamp benefits. The objective is more unemployment benefits. The objective is an expanding welfare state. And the objective is to take the nation’s wealth and return to it to the nation’s quote, “rightful owners.” Think reparations.”
As Library Grape says:
There is no nuance to this. Rush Limbaugh is stirring up images in his listeners’ minds of a scary, insidious Negro President who is out to steal white folks’ money and give it to his darkie supporters. I guess cheering on “Barack the Magic Negro” and calling Obama a “Halfrican America” wasn’t enough for him…
As Jill Tubman stated:
“This is scandalous and puts the GOP further in the camp of wild-eyed, old-fashioned white supremacists. In fact, it seems clear that this is a chief messaging strategy being put out by Republican leadership, let’s hold our noses & round up all the mouth-breathing racists in order to shore up a depleting base. Sort of like the pro-lifer care & feeding strategy, maybe?”
These Republican Party spokespeople time and again state they want the President to fail, they want America to fail, they want Hispanics to fail, they want to keep women in their ‘place’, they want Sotomayor to fail.
Rather than Republicans becoming more inclusive, they continue to alienate every minority group in this country. Their weapons of choice are all the same, fear mongering, hate, violence, deception. The jig is up, Americans have heard Republicans calling ‘wolf’ more times than “Little Red Riding Hood”. As American taxpayers become more educated and involved in restoring America to its original glory, they have turned from the decades old political bantering of the GOP.
We all know Republicans will say whatever it takes to try to win an election and then they laugh about Americans’ gullibility as soon as they turn around. If the democrats can keep debunking the untruths and spot-lighting the sleazy tactics of hypocritical republicans, they have nothing to worry about. I know as soon as I hear the fear mongering and sound bites that are half truths at best coming from the ‘right’; I give more support to the Democratic Party.
Will Republicans ever ‘get it’? Will they continue to alienate Americans with their hate filled rhetoric? Probably, and this will be their Party’s down fall for decades to come. It appears to me the Republican Party is quite clear they do not welcome Hispanics, Blacks or Women.
The Republican Party is at a crossroads and are taking the more traveled Republican path. Purging people who have differences from its ranks will ensure that it remains a minority party well into the future.
Judge Sotomayor is an historic, uniquely qualified nominee to the Supreme Court. Let’s get the word out and make sure we get a prompt, fair confirmation on her nomination.

Maybe for someone with no brain in their skull. Notice that the article does not use any logical reasoning to make it’s points:
1) Drug-addicted Rush Limbaugh, who makes racist comments frequently, does not prove OR disprove every comment that he says.
2) Newt Gingrich divorcing his wife and facing ethics violations does NOT prove or disprove what he’s saying.
etc…
**Answer the question at hand: If someone was nominated for supreme court and said that comment with the word “white” instead of “latino”, would he or would he not have been withdrawn?**
It is time for people, Democrats and Republicans alike to start making logical decisions instead of this ridiculous name-calling, and to start treating EVERYONE equally — not treating hispanics, black, and other minorities better than whites.

Hi! This is Sarah Sofia – back from the far north!
Interesting point above!
Liked the article about health CEO-profits and definitely the one on Shell!!! I heard, one of the major shareholders was the Dutch queen… well we only get fuel there, when we absolutely have to otherwise we boybott them, like every other company that’s not clean.
And that’s also what I would advise others to do as well: boykott those who don’t have clean hands. sooner or later they will get the message, when there’s noone left to support them!

Growing up my dad would have Rush on all day..then Dr. Laura.
I’m lucky my head didn’t explode from the poison input it got on a continuous basis.
I think the right wingers have the opinion of “God is on my side so I can treat the world like my personal piss pot.”
If they can’t find a legitimate complaint about someone they oppose they go for stereotypes.
It’s a reflection on them…not anyone else.
