Joe Wilson Disrespectful Emeritus
Rep. Joe Wilson, Republican from South Carolina, broke Congressional rules when he shouted from his seat on the Republican side of the Congressional chamber yelling “You lie” to President Barack Obama during the President’s address speech on health care reform to Congress. This was an extraordinary breach of decorum and was denounced by both Democrats and Republicans.

“I was embarrassed for the chamber and a Congress I love,” Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “It demeaned the institution.”House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., told ABC on Wednesday: “Obviously, the President of the United States is always welcome on Capitol Hill. He deserves respect and decorum.
Republican Sen. John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate defeated by Obama last year, called Wilson’s outburst “totally disrespectful” and said he should apologize.
Rep. Wilson was yelling when the President stated the health care reform bills did not cover illegal aliens.
Fact: The House bill explicitly forbids using the system for illegal immigrants.

GOP hate-mongering is absolutely getting tiresome. Working people want the public option as people with major illnesses are being routinely turned away by insurance companies. What does the GOP do? Draw the focus away from our fellow Americans that need our help. I am appalled, and quite frankly, disgusted by these right wing bible-thumping republicans who think they are holier than thou. Their antics have to stop! Those who yell the loudest seem to have the most skeletons in their closet, i.e., Governor Sanford, Larry Craig, John Ensign, Paul Stanley, to name a few.
On the other hand, I think Joe Wilson may have done America a great favor by showing that the hysterical wingnuts of the Republican Party are not just a fringe phenomenon consisting of angry town-hallers, but form the core of the Republican political class. He showed just how classy Republicans are, which is to say “not at all.”
Where was Wilson to call out W on his 935 DOCUMENTED lies?

His seat is up for reelection in the 2010. The Democratic opponent already has received an unexpected windfall in campaign dollars. I expect him to be gone come January 2011.
In the few hours since Wilson’s outburst, his Democratic opponent, former-Marine Rob Miller, has received nearly 3,000 individual grassroots contributions raising approximately $100,000, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said.

Joe Wilson from South Carolina, is just another good old boy where in the morning these married men preach to you that there should be prayer in our schools and in the evening they are on their cell phones setting up a date with their other women on the side, hypocrisy has been bred in. I am not surprised that he felt compel to yell like he was at some Friday night game. He is a hater not a debater like most of his side of the isle.
