Dear Tom:
I know this is a bit late, BUT social security is taken out of your PAYCHECK for when you retire; it is not a gift from Santa Clause. The reason why ,as of now, many people are struggling with their pensions is because Republicans will do anything in their power to become richer even if it means hurting the poor on the way; in the end, it's all business, right?? The Republican party wants social security gone because it wants to use all the money how it wishes and leave everybody else broke no matter if you are old and need it the most. DEPLORABLE! if you want it "gone" then the government needs to STOP taking money out of my paycheck and give me what has taken out already.

The truth is that projected costs for entitlement spending are too much to sustain.

We must eliminate the ability to collect social security at 62, and this must be done immediately. The problem is the massive influx of baby boomers who will soon be eligible for early payment of social security benefits.

I don't support Congressman Ryan's plan for Social Security and Medicare; however, the current costs of these programs will impact our bond rating.

I will be 62 in six months and I still favor eliminating my ability to collect SS benefits until much later.
