Certainly agree with your post (and I did enjoy Tina Fey's portrayal of Ms. Palin!) although, then, I couldn't help but feel she was a lamb to the slaughter. Not that I favoured McCain in any way but never did fathom why he tapped her for possible Veep, that before he even introduced her to the country, he couldn't see what it took no time for most of the country to figure out? He's much smarter than that...I should hope. As for the question asked by Katie Couric, re the papers Ms. Palin read...!!!??? Like you, I could not believe what I never heard. Not one...she couldn't mention one? At any rate, since the campaigning and election have been over, at this point I can't even feel sorry for her. She needs to give up, stay where she is and leave any thoughts of federal office to her dreams.

Many thanks for your response. Correct, it was Tiny Fey who made the 'see Russia' comment. What Sarah actually said to Charlie Gibson was "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." I stand corrected on this point, and modified by article. All the best to you for 2009.
